Categories
Categories provide a way to organize your catalog.
Products and categories
Products in the catalog always belong to at least one category. Categories can contain multiple products.
It’s possible to have multiple root categories.
For example, below are two root categories, CAT-1
and CAT-2
.
It’s also possible for a product to belong to multiple categories. In the example below, SKU-547
below belongs to both CAT-1
and CAT-2
.
Sub-categories
Categories can have a parent category, making it possible to organize your catalog into hierarchies.
In the diagram below CAT-4
is a child of CAT-1
.
Auctions
Auctions can be ran for products inside one or more categories.
