Overview

Banners are clickable graphics that will take the visitor to a specific product, vendor or URL.

Banners are always created as part of a campaign. They can be created via the UI and the API.

Banners are placed on pages in pre-configured slots. Slots consist of an ID, image dimensions and meta data. The slot is used as part of making an banner auction and will aid with returning the correct winners.

Quality control

Marketplaces have the option to enable the quality control to make sure banner graphics follow marketplace guidelines.

If this option is enabled, banner campaigns need to be manually approved by the marketplace owner before they can take part in auctions.
