Roles and Permissions

Topsort utilizes a role-based access control (RBAC) approach to manage user permissions across dashboards.

Admin Dashboard Roles

The admin dashboard currently have two roles:

  1. Admin: full control, including assigning roles and changing vendor access.
  2. Sales: access to specific vendor data and can create and manage campaigns for assigned vendors.

To create a user with a Sales role, you can go to “Settings” > “Users” > ”+ Add Member.” After entering user details, select specific vendors for the user to manage before sending an invitation. Once accepted, the user has access only to their assigned vendors.

Vendor Dashboard Roles

Marketplaces manage vendor permissions directly within the dashboard, offering two roles:

  1. Full Access: Allows vendors complete control over campaign management and setup.
  2. Analytics: Provides read-only access to reporting and analytics data.

This configuration is made on the vendor level. All users assigned to a vendor will either have the Full Access or Analytics role, depending on the configuration.
