Going Live

Before moving to production, conduct User Acceptance Tests (UAT) to ensure a smooth transition.

What to test

Catalog

Ensure that the Topsort admin panel lets you select products when creating a campaign or adding products to an existing one.

Auctions & events

Ensure that auctions and events trigger correctly. Check that:

  • Create a UAT-TEST campaign with products and a high bid amount.
  • Auctions are created on page view.
  • Events (views, clicks and purchases) are fired on their respective triggers.
  • Do this for two unique users.
  • Send screenshots to Topsort for event confirmation.

Data alignment

Topsort will provide a summary of data received during testing. Verify that metrics match expectations (auctions, impressions, clicks, purchases, unique sessions).

Deploying to production

After completing the UAT, deploy to production with these 3 steps:

  1. Connect your live catalog: either share the url to your product feed with Topsort or use the API.
  2. Obtain production credentials:
    • For Topsort UI:
    • If you’re using a custom UI:
      • Topsort provide production API URL and API key.
  3. Replace your sandbox credentials with production credentials and move integrations to production.
