What are Banner Ads?

Banner ads, also known as display ads or image ads, are image-based ads placed on homepage and high-traffic category pages. They act like billboards or banners you see day-to-day. A banner ad's eye-catching, creative, and welcoming visual qualities typically generate high click-throughs for vendors and increase brand awareness.

Banner ads have rectangular dimensions on websites. When a customer clicks a banner ad, they can be taken to a particular product or brand page.

Banner ads are charged on CPM (cost per mille) model instead of CPC (cost per click). This is a better model for banners since it measures the ads exposure rather than its clicks.
